Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Geseto website and mobile app, and any subscription or service you obtain from us. Please read them carefully before placing an order. By using the website or placing an order, you confirm that you accept these Terms.

1. Who We Are and How to Contact Us

The services described in these Terms are provided by Geseto ("Geseto", "we", "us", "our"), a business operating in the United Kingdom. Geseto offers a mobile app that helps freelancers track their income and expenses.

You can contact us by email, telephone or post at any time. We will aim to reply to written enquiries within a reasonable period, normally within five working days.

2. Our Services

Geseto provides a mobile app that allows freelancers to record income, log business expenses and review a summary of their financial activity. The app is a record-keeping tool. It does not provide accountancy, tax, legal or financial advice, and it does not file returns on your behalf. You remain responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for meeting your own tax and reporting obligations to HM Revenue and Customs and any other relevant body.

3. How an Order Is Placed and Confirmed

Placing an order with Geseto follows these steps:

  1. You select the plan or service you wish to purchase and follow the on-screen instructions.
  2. You review your order, including the price, before submitting it. You may correct any input errors at this stage.
  3. You submit your order. This is an offer to purchase from us.
  4. We send a confirmation to the email address you provided. A contract between you and Geseto is formed only when we send that confirmation.

If we are unable to accept your order, for example because of an error in the price or a problem with payment, we will tell you and will not charge you, or will refund any amount already taken.

4. Prices, Payment and What Is Included

All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and, where applicable, include VAT at the prevailing rate. The price that applies to you is the one displayed at the point you place your order. Your order confirmation will set out what is included in your plan, such as access to the app and its core features for the subscription period you selected.

5. Cancellation and Your Statutory Rights

If you are a consumer, you have rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

5.1 Right to cancel

You have the right to cancel an order within 14 days of the contract being formed, without giving a reason. To cancel, tell us clearly by emailing [email protected] or writing to us at 2 Kirkstall Lane, Leeds, LS6 2XF. We will refund what you have paid within 14 days of receiving your cancellation notice, using the same payment method you used.

5.2 Digital content and services

If you ask us to begin providing the service or digital content during the 14-day period, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for what has been supplied up to the point you cancel. Where digital content has been fully supplied with your prior express consent and acknowledgement, the right to cancel may be lost. We will explain this before you complete your order.

5.3 Ending a subscription

You may stop a recurring subscription at any time by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period unless a statutory right to a refund applies.

6. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please tell us so that we can put it right. Send your complaint to [email protected] or call +44 113 404 6004, giving your name, the email address used for your order and a description of the problem. We will acknowledge your complaint promptly and aim to provide a full response within 14 days. If we cannot resolve the matter, we will explain what further options are available to you.

7. Your Responsibilities

8. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including your statutory consumer rights.

Subject to the paragraph above:

9. Personal Data and Cookies

We handle personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. We use your data to process your order, provide the service, respond to your enquiries and meet our legal obligations. You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability, where these rights apply. To exercise any of them, email [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK supervisory authority for data protection.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law or in our services. The version in force when you place your order will apply to that order. Where a change affects an ongoing subscription, we will give you reasonable notice.

11. General

12. Governing Law

These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you may have to bring proceedings in the part of the United Kingdom where you live.
